This weekend Marty took us on a trip to Memphis. We went to the fabulous zoo and a mall that made us all want to cry. I even saw a Target (I was begining to forget that they are real). We went up to see Playhouse Disney Live and the kids had a ball.
The zoo was loads of fun. With the leaves changing everything was so pretty. We saw pandas and polar bears and the kids found a playground that may have been the highlight for them.

Those goofy Slovinsky kids.

Brady wanted to see the elephants. When we got to them there was a breeze blowing that made the stop unpleasant, as you can tell by Molly and her nose.

The polar bear tank was fabulous. We stood there for the longest time while the bears swam right over and at us. They pushed off the wall in front of us and flipped around. The kids loved it, though Brady wouldn't let go of Marty's leg.

Are you talking to ME?

GO GATORS!

On Sunday we went to see Playhouse Disney live. We saw everyone from Pooh to Handy Manny.
The kids loved it and behaved very well and we only had one bathroom emergency was we counted it as a success.

Brady LOVED this hat. He wore it all day, even in the car on the way home.

This was Brady's reaction to the begining of the show, he was scared. Thankfully he was able to regroup and enjoy, especially the Handy Manny part.

Molly sang all of the songs and danced with all of the characters. She was singing the oath of the Super Sleuths of the 100 Acre Wood.

Happy Halloween!
A Dad and his Spider...

A Dad and his Chicken...

Happy Halloween 2009!

Molly had to do a lot of waiting for Brady to catch up.

Our Gang Trick or Treating. Really just treating.

Trunk and Treat @ Mt. Vernon Church

Molly with Mr. Dusty and The New Miss Rebecca. Fabulous people at out church who not only love the Red Sox but Molly and Brady too.

So the kids and I just took a nice trip out to Virginia to meet the newest Cousin, Ethan Fox. He is adorable and we are so glad that we were able to go and meet him and hug on him. Here are some of the pictures of the trip (there are so many more) starting with Aunt Melissa's birthday! Hopefully I can get some of the pictures other people took so that more of the fam can be included.
Molly and Brady on the plane, the trip went really well, esp. since I did not bring the DVD player. Fortunately my kids can also be easily distracted by snacks.
Molly and Grandma put the candles on Aunt Melissa's cake...

then we all sang, even Brady...

and finally the kids all "helped" her blow the candles out.

Brady loved Ethan, esp. touching the top of his head.

Me and my kiddies playing with Ethan, again. Molly loved to just look at him and whisper.

We had Family Movie night at both Mimi and Grandma's houses. Nathan came to Mimi's and the ate popcorn and M&M's and had a ball hanging out with Horton. Natalie watched Frosty the Snowman with them over at Grandma's.

This was Molly's attempt at making Norman a princess.

Thankfully we had time to go down to Yorktown Beach with some of the family. We were there for Ethan's first trip, a pretty big deal in our family. The kids played on the rocks, in the trees, on the sand, and (unfortunately) in the water. Lots of fun and we are still finding sand in our socks and shoes.

Me and my squirmy kids

The gang using the tree branches as toys. Clearly Nathan is having the most fun.

Brady loved being on the branches, even the tall ones, but he didn't want to smile or wave or even bounce around. Just sat.

This was Brady before he tried to retrieve the Frisbee that went into the water. Miraculously Norman was able to get the Frisbee back when it beached itself on the rocks.

Molly tamping around Yorktown Beach.

Molly LOVED the "Baby Roller Coaster" that Mimi had at her house. She thought of herself as quite a dare devil. It was a hoot!

Brady liked the Baby Roller Coaster but really enjoyed his "motorcycle", he doesn't like pedals.

My mother and I tried our hand at making creative cupcakes. The spaghetti never tasted so good! Next up: corn on the cob a la cupcake.

This morning Brady wanted to wear his Mickey shirt. The next thing I knew he was running around with his ear on too. He has kept them on for quite a while, it's hysterical.
The kids went back to the pumpkin patch for a birthday party. They had a blast playing in corn and a giant container of cotton. It was quite hot but lots of fun.

A boy and his pumpkins.

After at least 10 attempts I was able to get a nice picture of Molly. She kept closing her eyes or looking away so I cornered her in a hay tent where the sun wasn't in her face.

This weekend we took a trip out to the pumpkin patch. We all had a great time. We tried to get some nice pictures but Molly and Brady had other ideas so we will have to try again.

Brady and his big boy tractor.

Molly and her "punkin"

Brady and his very own pumpkin.

Molly and Brady had a blast in the big box of corn. They came out looking pretty nasty but they had fun. It was a hoot watching Brady b/c the stuff came up to his knees so he could hardly walk.

Marty hauling kids and pumpkins after a successful trip to the patch.

Marty and I went to a graduation dinner so I had to face up to buying a new dress, new shoes, and earrings. We had a really nice time, it was nice to not have to keep up with sippy cups.

Brady was trying to talk to the Brady in the mirror.

I found the kids "hiding" in Molly's closet, the mess was considerable but they had fun.

Here are more pictures of our trip back to OKC. Thank goodness for the Rabus'.

Molly didn't want to be left out of Guitar Hero.

Marty was trying to channel Sameer during Guitar Hero. This was our failed try at Flyleaf's song. Great song but too hard for Marty and me.

The four kids manages to squeeze into a tunnel and seemed to have a good time. It was amazing that nobody got stuck.

Molly and the Fabulous Rabus Girls at the park in OKC

Our failed attempt at having the kids sleep in the same room, it was cute but sheer folly.

Friday night we took the kids bowling for the first time. At first Brady was more interested in eating Goldfish than playing but by the end they were both loving it. Brady liked dancing around on the slippery floor and getting in the way of the other bowlers, who, thankfully, thought he was cute enough to overlook it.

Molly by the end of the night.

Brady spent an entire afternoon last week being a pirate, refused to take the hat off.

Molly felt very abused after having blood drawn. It took two men and myself to hold her down, she was so loud that people in offices own the hall heard it. She wore her bandage overnight because she was afraid she would start bleeding again.

Brady has graduated into full blown lumpy hair. He carried that guitar around all Saturday.

Father and Son bonding over a Hokie game. Brady has grown into the Hokie outfit Aunt Melissa bought for Molly when she was smaller. Don't worry, it's a unisex. :)

I know that this is a little inappropriate but he was so cute sitting there. He kept looking at himself in the toilet paper holder and singing to himseld.

A few weeks ago marty was sent out to Oklahoma City for instrument training. It was great seeing as we were able to crash in on the Rabus' and take over their lives for 2 whole weeks. Thanks for letting me bring the kids over everyday and for teaching me how to play Rock Band.
The Rabus' and Slovinsky's in a rousing game of Ring Around the Roses.

The kids and I met up with the wonderful Ms. Toni. Thanks for the Play Dough! It was great to see you!

Mike made forts for the kids one evening, I don't know how long they stayed up but the kids loved them.

Mike made things interesting by tying the kids together and sending them on little missions to get things, they loved it. They fell a lot but the loved it.

We took the kids to the OKC zoo with some of the gals from FBC Moore. The kids loved it.

Brady and his favorite things: his Buzz shirt, a Night Night, and some juice.

Molly thought that the lions would suddenly roar at her and maybe get her too.

This is as close to the bear statue as Molly would get...she thought it would turn into a real bear and I guess she convinced Sophie of the same.
